Description of the website

ImmunizeBC website is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).

ImmunizeBC is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the BC residents looking for comprehensive, evidence-based information about immunization.

The site is brimming with detailed content on a wide range of vaccine preventable diseases and includes sections on vaccine safety, how vaccines work as well links to a number of useful tools and resources such as:

    - Vaccination scheduler tool

    - Health unit and influenza clinic finder

    - Text messaging reminder service for appointments

    - Ask a Question application and archive

    - Links to over 30 brochures, posters and record cards.

    ImmunizeBC is a collaborative project of the BC Ministry of Health, the BC Centre for Disease Control, the regional health authorities (First Nations Health Authority, Fraser Health, Interior Health, Island Health, Northern Health and Vancouver Coastal Health), the BC Pharmacy Association and the Public Health Association of BC.

    ImmunizeBC provides evidence-based immunization information for BC residents. The content is written by qualified health care professionals. It is reviewed and approved by members of the Immunization Programs & Vaccine Preventable Disease Services at the BC Centre for Disease Control. The content is reviewed and updated regularly.
