NITAG Resource Center
Description of the website
The website of the NITAG Resource Center is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).
The NITAG Resource Center is the unique platform dedicated to NITAG members worldwide.
In April 2017 The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on Immunization acknowledged the importance of National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) as core institution of well-functioning immunization programmes and recommended to support the sharing of information through the NRC. Indeed, the aim of the NRC is to be the one-stop-shop for all NITAG related information and to develop the NITAG community, promoting collaborations and fostering the network of NITAG members.
Since October 2017 the website is fully supported by the WHO and makes available all publications produced by NITAGs as well as technical reports from partners and scientific publications on immunization, including vaccine safety. No registration is needed and documents are available free of charge.
Website’s sponsorship policy
The NRC is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Other partners include WHO, CDC and USAID.
Website’s content or editorial policy
This web site offers a centralized access to NITAG recommendations from around the world, scientific publications, technical reports, systematic reviews and WHO Position Papers through the media center. The NRC also makes available the latest news from the NITAG community and all upcoming events.
The interactive map displaying NITAGs' status according to the WHO/UNICEF Joint Reporting Form indicators gives an overview of NITAGs' situation and evolution. If you click on a country, you will get additional information, including contact details of the NITAG focal point, the website (when there is one) and the most recent publications.
