Vaccine Safety Communication Resources
Healthcare professionals are increasingly being challenged on legitimate or perceived vaccine safety concerns. Knowing how to accurately and confidently communicate about vaccine safety is a vital component of all vaccination programs.
Resources comprise resources specific for particular vaccines, adverse events following immunization and special populations. These are produced for healthcare providers. Additional resources providing guidance to health communication officers and policy makers are also included. Links to find reliable information regarding vaccine safety for general public are also included to the list.
The aim is to encourage knowledge sharing and provide a comprehensive communications toolkit to prevent dangerous misconceptions about vaccine safety and vaccine administration practices. The resources comprised in this part of the VSN portal include but are not limited to:
- Training material, guidelines and communication plans.
- Vaccine safety information - flyers, brochures, booklets and posters.
